This page is dedicated to those people, other than family, who have played an important role in my life. These are my friends who I consider "family" -- REAL friends!

Dana Ghedei King

(Pictured with her oldest son, Deon) - Dana (pronounced DONNA) is the mother of my oldest son, Christopher. We have known each other for more than 22 years when we first met in Stuttgart, Germany, and still remain very special friends today; my closest friend. We both have one, main objective in our lives and that is to be reunited with our son who was put up for adoption at birth. Many people ask, "what nationality is she?," so to save you some time, she's half Ethiopian (her mother) and British (her father). Although she says it doesn't, her British accent is very prevalent when she talks. Her mother, Mulu Ghedei King, also makes a mean, "zigni" (seasoned beef - HOT!) and "injera" (bread). Additionally, Dana has three children; Deon (pictured as a baby), Joseph ("Jo-Jo") and Rece. She currently works and resides in Charlotte, NC.

Theresa "Tee" Linne

Pictured here with her son, Taejon, Tee and I have been friends for over 12 years. Most used to tease us and say we should have gotten married, but, we are truly good friends who met while in the Air Force and working together at the National Security Agency, Fort Meade, Maryland. Tee is out of the Air Force and now lives and works in the Oakland, Ca., area. Additionally, she's an Oakland Raiders cheerleader ... judging by her looks.

Pata Smith Hall

The jewel of my life. I can't say enough about Pata-pooh-pooh! From our days of hanging out at the LK/DYA to days of the present hanging out at Jillian's, weez tight!. Pata too is a SAHS Stallion who was a star forward/center on our girls' varsity team. Man! The long b-ball trips without her and the rest of the gang would have been pure hell. She's married with three children and lives here in Maryland, just up the road from me.

Ursula McNamara

Urs and I have cultured a very special relationshop (heh, heh!). Both have been through a thing or two and have learned to grown from them. She actually means more to me than I think she even realizes. Again, she's a SAHS Stallion, so that shows how special she is, but whe was a few years behind me in school so I didn't pay any attention to the little punk (joking).

Marco Ocadiz and Jake Hamilton

Here, Marco (2nd from right) and his bride, Laura, take a moment for a picture with Jake (far left) and I. Marco, Jake and I all went to school together at Stuttgart American High School and have been friends for more than 25 years. We still hang out like we were on the streets of Pattonville, Robinson Barracks, and Heilbronn in Stuttgart, Germany. All three of us were standout athletes and the best dressers in the school. I was more of the smooth dancer, while Marco and Jake both perfected their "pop-lockin'," "break dancin'" and "jitta-buggin'" on the dance floor. I also did most of the Dj'ing. Although we were more "rivals" back then, we are the best of friends now.

Tyler Harris Pitre

Another underclass punk from our days at SAHS. Tyler and I have become really close through the most unusual of mediums: race (she knows exactly what I'm talking about). All I know is when I need someone to talk to, she's always there with her two cents ... okay! She's always there with her 45 cents. She's married to my man, Marty-Mar, and they have three beautiful kids. Both are in the world's greates Air Force and will soon be moving to Arizona.
