Kynneth Roszell Sutton
aka "Speedy"
Who, me? Oh, I'm the middle child and the second of three born to Willie and Gwen, December 6, 1964. Ironically, my first claim to Sutton-fame came the day I was born. I was born in a place that's on the list of national landmarks as a ghost town -- Tonopah, NV -- also know as Area 51. Oooooooooooo!
Since then, I've lived in California, Alabama, Maryland, Texas, Virginia and Washington, D.C., as well as visited more than 30 other states in the nation. Abroad, I've lived in Germany, England, Japan, Greece, and Korea, as well as visited 22 other countries to include Russia, Australia and the Azores.
I'm the proud father of five wonderful children: Kamryn (4), Syvannah (6), Devyn (14), S'ian (17), and Jay (20), whom I saw and met for the first time in Dec. 2003. Reluctantly, he was put up for adoption at birth by his mother, Dana Ghedei King. Although we never married, she and I remain very close friends. The three of us have cultivated a great relationship and look forward to Jay joining the Air Force in June 2004.
I retired from the Air Force after 20 years in June 2003 and currently work in the sports and entertainment public relations field. I really enjoy my job ... where else can I see every major sports and entertainment event in the Washington, D.C.-Metropolitan area, and get paid to do so? Looking forward to the day my dream, my company, spreads its wings and blossoms into a promising graphics design and public relations business.
I'm also a new grandfather with the birth of my 1st grandson, Shawn, May 29, 2003. It's an interesting feeling which I have yet been able to completely describe. Nevertheless, I'm happy and enjoy spending time with "Dinky" -- my nickname for him because he was born premature and he's still so small. He's crawling now and thinks he's a big boy.
Fondest Memories: Growing up in a military family and in a family where you just knew you were loved. We spent many years of our youth growing up in Germany; Ramstein and Stuttgart, and those were probably the best years of my life. I learned so much about life during those years it's amazing, but mostly the appreciation of a real friendship. Many of my childhood friends from Stuttgart are STILL my closest friends to this very day. In a world where people are far too often judged by the color of their skin, we (military brats) overlooked those small things.
On my "To-Do List": 1)Continue the new relationship with Jay and myself, while helping him to grow into our family. 2)Hike the Grand Canyon. 3) Go scuba diving off the coast of some exotic island. 4) Start my own graphics and public relations company; Skai.
My wish: For my children to grow into productive, respectable and comfortably successful (within themselves) adults in our society.
My only regret in life: Having my children suffer through divorce.
Famous last words: "I ain't never getting married again!"
